This past Thursday and Friday the Open Badge Network partners met for the last transnational project meeting in Berlin. We planned the closing of the project, which officially ends with the end of August 2017, and reflected the development and impact we have been able to made.
We are proud to have jointly brought the project and the partnership to where it is today and to have had built the capacity for Open Badges in Europe by
- growing the network of Open Badges stakeholders in Europe and beyond (e. g. India, Canada, Africa),
- contributing to the development of the Open Badges Standard 2.0, especially the alignment of competencies, and
- enhancing the awareness for Open Badges among European policy-makers, getting Open Badges into some of the key European policy frameworks and documents, including Open Education, Europass, Lifelong Learning, Recognition of Prior Learning.
We are all committed to keep the OBN network going and growing with the help of all interested individuals and organisations! Please get in touch with us if you are interested to get involved! (e.g. leave us a comment to this post, send an email and/or tweet).
