We are very pleased to announce that Open Badge Network is one of the supporters of the Open Badges Summit 2017 titled Modern Employment and Digital Credentials organised byIMS Global Learning Consortium and Digitalme in partnership with Open University and JISC and taking place on 1 Dec 2017 at RSA House – London, UK.
We invite all OBN members to join us at the event to discuss the role of digital credentials such as Open Badges for employment, e.g. recruiting, competency development, talent search. You can find further information about the event here:
- IMS Global announcement with program details
- DigitalMe announcement with ticket purchase (your ticket is a badge!)
Here is a short announcement of the event you will find on both sites:
“It has never been more important to recognise, recruit and retain talent in the workplace and Digital Credentials help us see people for who they are and who they could be. The first IMS and Digitalme European Open Badges Summit will bring together high profile employers, members of civil service, education and commercial product leaders to share, learn and discuss the technology, people and climate that make Open Badges work.”
We look forward to seeing you in London!
Hello,
for recognition of skills it might be also interesting to look at the ESCO project, which aims at building a unified classification of skills across EU (https://ec.europa.eu/esco/portal/escopedia/European_Skills%252C_Competences%252C_Qualifications_and_Occupations_%2528ESCO%2529). I have discussed this in a bit more detail Johannes Konert in this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1y4O-gX5hAGvS3shWFRBERe2T4A6w_9DPs7vjB4j43u4/edit#heading=h.gjdgxs
What do you think about this approach?
Kind regards,
Jan
Um, have I missed the point somewhere ? I realise this is a self-assessment badge but I was surprised that I couldn’t add in some evidence ?
Apologies this appears to be in the wrong place somehow !
